TOP COMPANIES OF 2016!!!

Now in its eighth year, the annual list of the 50 Best Places to Work, compiled by jobs and career Web site Glassdoor, has some surprising stats this time around.

For one, neither Google (nowAlphabet), Facebook, nor any of the other well-known tech companies occupy the top four spots on the list. In fact, the No. 1 company appears on Glassdoor's list for the very first time. Overall, 13 companies are newcomers to Glassdoor's Top 50, according to the company.
The list spans industries and geographies, not just those companies located on either U.S. coast.
Asked what mattered most in job satisfaction, employees had some common themes in their reviews and it wasn't just about their salaries.
Common themes included: feeling valued; companies having unique cultures that align with a clear direction and mission; being a part of a values-driven organization; having smart colleagues; great perks and benefits; transparent senior leadership and challenging and exciting tasks, to name a few characteristics most talked about in reviews on Glassdoor's Web site.
The list ranks companies based on feedback from employees about their job, work environment and company overall. Companies that were included in the list had to have at least 1,000 employees.
